فَسـئَلُوا اَهلَ الذِّكرِ اِن كُنتُم لَا تَعلَمُونَ‏

Are Video Calls a form of Seclusion?
Question:- A Boy and a Girl did not meet in private, however, they had lengthy video calls. Will this classify as Khalwat (seclusion)?
Answer:- Khalwat (seclusion) in Shariah terminology refers to the meeting of a man and a woman in a place where it is possible for them to have marital relations without any sensory, legal (Sharia) or physical hinderance.
