فَسـئَلُوا اَهلَ الذِّكرِ اِن كُنتُم لَا تَعلَمُونَ‏

So, ask the people (having the knowledge) of the Reminder (the earlier Scriptures), if you do not know.

Question:- I had an acquaintance who wished to perform Hajj and had savings enough for Hajj. I urged him to perform Hajj at the earliest upon which he applied for the Government Package but didn't get selected....

سوال:- میرے ایک جاننے والے ہیں، ان کا حج کا ارادہ تھا، اور ان کے پاس حج کے بقدر پیسے بھی تھے، میں نے انکو بہت ترغیب دی کہ حج ابھی کرلیں تو انہوں نے گورنمنٹ میں اپلائی کیا مگر ان کا نام نہیں آیا، میں نے انکو پرائیویٹ کا کہا تو انہوں نے کہا میرے پاس پیسے نہیں ہیں، حالانکہ مجھے معلوم ہے کہ ان کے لئے حالات اتنے خراب نہیں ہیں کہ وہ پیسوں کا بندوبست نہ کرسکیں۔ پھر انہوں نے اپنے بیٹے کی شادی پر سارے پیسے ختم کردئیے تو کیا انکا ایسا کرنا درست ہے؟

Performing Hajj on behalf of the Deceased

Question:- My grandfather applied for Hajj in 2020 and got selected. But due to Covid-19, his journey got cancelled. After that, he died. Do we now need to perform Hajj on his behalf?
