Cleaning a water tank after a cat falls on it
Question:- A cat fell in the water tank with low volume of water and the cat did not drown. After a while, the cat was removed alive from the water tank. If the tank must be purified in this situation, then how must it be done?
Answer:- A cat's leftover is not impure but disgusting (Makrooh). However, if the cat had eaten a mouse and its effect could be seen nearby after which it fell in the water tank, then the water would be impure. If, on the other hand, the cat fell after a lapse of time from eating a mouse (which means it already had licked its mouth) then it would not be impure but disgusting (Makrooh). In this case it will not be necessary to repeat prayers if made from this water.
