فَسـئَلُوا اَهلَ الذِّكرِ اِن كُنتُم لَا تَعلَمُونَ‏

So, ask the people (having the knowledge) of the Reminder (the earlier Scriptures), if you do not know.

Giving Zakat to a wealthy unemployed person
Question:- A divorced woman has 10 tola gold. She doesn't have anyone who could earn for her. Can I help her with Zakat?
Answer:- It is not permissible to give zakat to this woman as she doesn't qualify for it. She shall sell a part of her gold for her living.
