Quantity of Recitation in Prayers
Question:- In prayers with audible recitation (other than Fajr) what is the (prescribed) quantity of recitation for the prayer leader?
Answer:- When the imam or any individual is not traveling, the recommended recital is the longer Surahs in Fajr and Zuhr prayers i.e., a selection from Surah Hujuraat to Surah Burooj. And in Asr and Isha, Medium Length Surahs and in Maghrib Shorter Surahs are recommended. That is, in each Rak’aat one of the described Surahs is recommended to be recited.
