Worships Prayer
Sajda Sahv on Missing Dua e Qunoot
Question:- Our mosque's prayer leader went to Rukoo instead of saying takbeer for Qunoot Dua in the last Rakat of Witr Prayers. He stood up again for Qunoot Dua after hearing the call from a follower. He ended the prayers with the Sajda Sahv. Will our prayers be accepted?
Answer:- The prayer leader should not have stood up again after hearing the call of the follower once he had gone to Rukoo by mistake. In that case, he could end the prayers with Sajda Sahv. However, if he stood up for Qunoot Dua, it would not render his prayers void. Praying Sajda Sahv at the end will recompense for this mistake and make it valid. There is no need to pray witr again.
